"Checked & Trusted" Seal of Approval
It is almost impossible for a charter customer to obtain an objective & comprehensive quality assessment of charter agencies and fleet operators. Especially since the COVID pandemic, some providers and companies have been hit hard financially and the last few years have shown that protection is now more important than ever.
For this reason, YACHT-POOL awards the "Checked & Trusted" seal of approval. In this way, YACHT-POOL aims to provide guidance and help prevent damage. However, this only happens after YACHT-POOL has strictly checked the creditworthiness, business conduct and fleet condition of the charter agency or fleet operator for their economic reliability.
As in the past, the Yacht & Charter Center and all associated fleets have once again received this seal of trust for 2024. This means that your booking, your vacation and your payment are safe with us.
The contract "Fairtrag"
But there is another risk when chartering a yacht: Charter contracts in which certain points are not regulated clearly enough or in a form that contradicts the legally mandatory provisions of the "General Terms and Conditions".
In many cases, this leads to an illusion of security on the part of the charter company or agency - and even more so on the part of the charter customer. The further consequence is sometimes expensive legal disputes and disappointment when the court does not recognize a seemingly "clear agreement" because it is not legally binding in the form chosen. However, wording that leaves room for interpretation can also lead to this undesirable result.
Furthermore, it is not uncommon for the charterer to sign a contract with the agency and then have to sign another one in the local language when checking in at the base.
The charter "fair contract" developed by Yacht Pool is an internationally recognized "standard contract" that comes as close as possible to meeting the requirements in terms of balancing the legitimate concerns of the charter company and the charterer-client. A contract that meets the broadest consensus of all parties involved and minimizes avoidable and nonsensical, costly legal disputes.
That is why the charter center in our bases in Croatia and Mallorca relies on the "Fair Contract" from Yacht Pool. The "Fair Charter" logo, like the Checked & Trusted seal, is awarded annually, once again demonstrating our constant efforts to ensure safety, fairness and service this year.
