What is Ports IB?

Ports IB (reservas.portsib.es) is the official online reservation system of the Balearic Islands' state port authority. Charter guests can pre-book and pay for mooring buoys (Boyas) and berths (Amarres) in harbours and coastal anchorage areas on Mallorca, Ibiza and Menorca.

Boat Code: All Yates Baleares yachts are already registered in the Ports IB system. You'll find the boat code in your charter documents on the page with the technical specifications. Always use this code — it automatically loads all vessel data.

Important for catamarans and wide yachts:
Vessels over 4.46 m beam cannot book a harbour berth (smaller harbours have a limit of 4.00 m beam and 12 m length). Mooring buoy fields have no beam restriction — only length counts, so catamarans can also book there.

Step 1: Create a Free Account

You need a user account with Ports IB. Registration only takes a few minutes:

1. Open reservas.portsib.es/reservas/en/
2. Click "Sign in" in the top right corner
3. Enter your first name, last name, email address and a secure password
4. Enter your passport number (mandatory field)
5. Accept the terms of use and click "Register"
6. Click the activation link in the confirmation email

Tip: Note down your login details — you'll need them for every future booking.

Step 2: Enter the Boat Code

After logging in, you need to assign the yacht to your account once. For this you need the boat code from your charter documents (a 6-character alphanumeric code on the technical data page).

1. Click "Register charter" after logging in
2. Enter the boat code
3. The vessel data will be loaded automatically — no manual entry required

The boat code is vessel-specific and valid for the entire charter week. For questions: office@yates-baleares.com

Step 3: Find a Spot

On the home page, select the type of reservation:

• Mooring buoys (Boyas) — buoy with mooring line in a sheltered coastal location, available for yachts of all beams
• Berths (Amarres) — spot in a harbour or at a pier, only for yachts up to 4.46 m beam (smaller harbours 4.00 m)

Click "Book" and select:

1. Type of reservation: mooring buoy or berth
2. Island: Mallorca, Ibiza or Menorca
3. Location from the interactive map — green-marked spots are available

Step 4: Choose Rate and Date

Select the date and duration:

• Half day — morning (10:00–14:00) or afternoon (14:00–18:00)
• Full day — 10:00–18:00
• Overnight — arrival 18:30, departure the following day by 18:00

Please note: A maximum of 3 consecutive nights can be booked per mooring field, and 5 nights for harbour berths.

Check date, location and price — then click "Continue".

Step 5: Pay

Payment is made exclusively by credit card directly in the system:

1. Enter your card details and confirm the booking
2. You will immediately receive a confirmation email with your reservation number
3. Print the confirmation or save it on your smartphone — the harbour authority inspector will check it on arrival

Important: The booking cannot be changed after payment. The booking must be in the skipper's name.

Tip: Book at least 30–60 minutes before your planned arrival.

Important Notes and Contact

• Online bookings only — no telephone reservations possible
• Vessel cannot be changed after payment — boat name and details are fixed
• Booking must be in the skipper's name — not another crew member
• Boat code — vessel-specific, renewed annually in your booking documents
• Book early — Formentor in particular fills up quickly in summer
• Language — the website is available in English (select in the top right corner)
• Cancellation — check the conditions in the system before booking
