Baltic Yacht Charter

EQUIPMENT ON OUR BALTIC CHARTER YACHTS

On a Baltic sailing holiday, the onboard equipment must suit the cruising area, the yacht, and the crew. That is why our charter yachts are equipped with navigation instruments, VHF radio, safety equipment, and all essential items for deck operations, the galley, and everyday life on board.

The standard equipment on all yachts includes, among other things, NV charts, a chartplotter, autopilot, wind instruments, depth sounder, automatic life jackets, a liferaft, and diesel heating. Equipment on Board

Fully equipped from casting off to berthing: On board, you will find everything essential for navigation, safety, sailing operations, and comfortable life at sea.

Charts and Navigation

  • Charts: NV chart sets with harbour guide.
  • Covered cruising areas: Depending on the sailing area, these include the Kiel Bay and Funen, the Bay of Lübeck to Bornholm, Samsø, the Sound and Kattegat, as well as Rügen, the Bodden lagoons, and Szczecin.
  • Electronic navigation: Chartplotter, autopilot, wind instruments, electronic log, and depth sounder.
  • Additional navigation equipment: Illuminated steering compass, binoculars with bearing compass, dividers, two navigation triangles, barometer, and clock.

VHF Radio

All Baltic charter yachts are equipped with a VHF radio.

Safety Equipment

  • Personal safety equipment: Automatic life jackets and safety harnesses for the permitted number of persons.
  • Rescue and emergency equipment: Liferaft, emergency strobe light, handheld searchlight, compressed air foghorn, pyrotechnic distress signals, first aid kit, bilge pumps, fire extinguishers, and lifebuoys or rescue collars.

Deck Equipment

  • Deck equipment: Sprayhood, bow and stern rails, double guardrails, navigation lights, and anchor light.
  • Anchoring and mooring: Two anchors with chain or weighted anchor line, fenders, mooring lines, and a 30 metre towline, plus 2 bow lines, 2 stern lines, 1 spring line, and even 1 manoeuvring line as standard.
  • Additional equipment: Boat hook, deck brush, anchor ball, and cone.
  • Sail handling: Mainsheet and jib sheets, sheet winches, boom preventer, and rigging cutter.

Galley and Onboard Household

  • Galley: Two burner gas cooker, oven, electric cool box, sink, and pressurised water system.
  • Household equipment: Crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, kettle, vacuum flasks, and other household essentials.
  • Filter coffee: A 1x4 filter holder is provided.

Heating, Power Supply, and Additional Onboard Equipment

  • Heating: Diesel heating.
  • Power supply: Automatic 230 volt battery charger, 25 metre shore power cable with CEE plug, and adapter for Schuko sockets.
  • Connections: 230 volt and 12 volt connections, as well as USB sockets.
  • Additional onboard equipment: Bosun's chair and toolbox.
  • Gas system: Certified and approved by a qualified specialist company, in accordance with the equipment documentation.
  • Flags: German national flag and courtesy flags for Denmark, Sweden, and where applicable, Poland.
  • Keys: Yacht and engine keys, as well as keys for sanitary facilities and cabin lighting.
  • Yacht folder: Contains the important documents for the respective charter yacht.
What to Pack Before Your Trip

What Is Not Provided on Board

Some personal consumables and textile items are not included in the onboard equipment and should be brought with you.

  • Textiles: Bed sheets, pillows, blankets, and towels
  • Consumables: Cloths, toilet paper, washing up liquid, salt, and pepper
  • Coffee maker: For the coffee machine or the filter holder provided, you will need size 1x4 filter papers.

Are charts available on board?

Yes. NV chart sets with harbour guide are provided on board. Depending on the cruising area, the available sets cover the key Baltic sailing grounds relevant to our charters, from Kiel Bay and the Bay of Lübeck to Funen, Bornholm, and the Kattegat, as well as Rügen, the Bodden waters, and the route towards Szczecin.

What navigation equipment is provided?

The equipment includes a chartplotter, autopilot, wind instruments, electronic log, and depth sounder. In addition, there is an illuminated steering compass, binoculars with bearing compass, dividers, navigation triangles, barometer, and clock.

Do all charter yachts have VHF radio?

Yes. All Baltic charter yachts are equipped with a VHF radio.

What safety equipment is carried on board?

Automatic life jackets and safety harnesses are provided for the permitted number of persons. In addition, the safety equipment includes, among other items, a liferaft, distress signals, fire extinguishers, first aid kit, bilge pumps, lifebuoys or rescue collars, an emergency strobe light, and a handheld searchlight.

Is heating available on board?

Yes. Our Baltic charter yachts are fitted with diesel heating.

Are crockery and cooking utensils provided?

Yes. The galley is equipped with crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, kettle, vacuum flasks, and other household essentials. There is also a two burner gas cooker, oven, electric cool box, sink, and pressurised water system.

Do I need to bring bed linen and towels?

Yes. Bed sheets, pillows, blankets, and towels are not included in the onboard equipment and should be brought with you.

Which consumable items should I bring myself?

Toilet paper, washing up liquid, cloths, salt, and pepper are not provided on board. In addition, the coffee filter supplied requires size 1x4 filter papers.
