EQUIPMENT ON OUR CHARTER YACHTS IN MALLORCA

Our charter yachts in Mallorca are prepared for your voyage with comprehensive onboard, navigation and safety equipment. The basic package also includes a range of services and equipment details that you can factor directly into your holiday planning.

On this page, you will find the services included, the standard equipment on board, and the small number of consumable items that you should either bring with you or purchase locally.

Included in the basic package

  • Mobile internet access on board via SurfSpot
  • Dinghy with outboard engine, oars and pump
  • Made up beds for the number of guests stated in the contract
  • Final cleaning and cleaning supplies package for your voyage
  • Two gas bottles for the galley

What is included in the basic package

Several services and equipment items are already included in the basic package on our Mallorca yachts. Most apply equally to both sailing yachts and motor yachts. Where the equipment differs, this is clearly indicated.

  • Mobile internet on board: Mobile internet access is available via SurfSpot. Using this onboard connection does not incur any additional roaming charges from your own mobile provider.
  • Dinghy: All sailing yachts and motor yachts come with a dinghy. Oars and a pump are also included.
  • Outboard engine: An outboard engine is included on all yachts.
  • Bed linen and made up beds: The beds are prepared for the number of guests stated in the charter contract. Bed linen is included in the basic package.
  • Final cleaning: Final cleaning is included in your booking. A cleaning supplies pack is also provided for your voyage.
  • Gas for the galley: Each yacht comes with two gas bottles so that the gas cooker in the galley can be used throughout your stay.

Navigation, charts and radio equipment on board

For navigation and passage planning, the Mallorca yachts are equipped with both electronic and traditional navigation tools. The following equipment applies to both sailing yachts and motor yachts.

Charts and navigation

  • Nautical charts for the Balearics: On board you will find the Delius Klasing Chart Set 9. The accompanying booklet includes cruising area information, a waypoint list, a symbol guide, as well as harbour plans, harbour photographs and written harbour information.
  • Electronic navigation: Standard equipment includes a chartplotter, autopilot, wind instruments, electronic log and depth sounder.
  • Traditional navigation: Also provided are an illuminated steering compass, binoculars, dividers, course plotter, two navigation triangles and a clock.

VHF radio

All sailing yachts and motor yachts are fitted with a DSC enabled VHF radio.


Safety and deck equipment

The safety equipment is largely identical on sailing yachts and motor yachts. Deck equipment, however, varies in some respects due to the different yacht designs.

Safety equipment on all yachts

  • Life saving and signalling equipment: EPIRB, liferaft, emergency strobe light, handheld searchlight, foghorn, flare kit, first aid kit, and a lifebuoy with floating line.
  • Additional safety equipment: Bilge pumps and fire extinguishers.
  • Automatic lifejackets: Automatic lifejackets with integrated lifebelts are provided for the maximum permitted number of guests.

Deck equipment on all yachts

  • Guardrails: Bow and stern pulpits, together with double guardrails.
  • Anchoring: Main anchor with 50 metres of chain and a secondary anchor with warp.
  • Mooring: Six to eight fenders, four mooring lines and a 25 metre tow line.
  • Working on deck: Boat hook, deck brush and bosun's chair.
  • Lighting: Navigation lights and anchor light.
  • Additional equipment: A bucket is also on board.

Additional deck equipment on sailing yachts

Sailing yachts also come with sailing specific equipment:

  • Sails: Furling genoa or furling jib.
  • Cockpit protection: Sprayhood and bimini.
  • Deck equipment: Two sheet winches and bolt cutters.
  • Lighting: A steaming light is also fitted.

Galley, power supply and further onboard equipment

For cooking, water supply, electrical power and everyday life on board, both sailing yachts and motor yachts are comprehensively equipped.

Galley

  • Cooking and refrigeration: Two or three burner gas cooker, oven, and either an electric cool box or refrigerator.
  • Water supply: Pressurised water system with outlets in the galley and heads, plus a sink in the galley.
  • Kitchen equipment: Crockery, cutlery, coffee filter, pots, pans, kettle, vacuum flasks and other household essentials.

Power, charging and onboard systems

  • Power supply: Inverter for 12 V and 230 V, 230 V and 12 V sockets, and an automatic battery charger.
  • USB: A USB socket is available.
  • Shore power connection: 25 metre shore power cable and adapter cable.
  • Anchor windlass: An electric anchor windlass is fitted.

Comfort and additional equipment on all yachts

  • Water and shower: Hot water, plus showers indoors and on deck.
  • Onboard equipment: Cabin lighting, safe and toolkit.
  • Flags and keys: National flag, yacht keys and engine keys.
  • Audio: Radio with MP3 playback, USB and AUX connection, and exterior speakers.
  • Safety: Gas detector.
  • Skyscreens: Skyscreens with integrated mosquito screens.
Before you set sail

These consumable items should be brought by you

For hygiene reasons, certain consumable items are not routinely supplied on board. Please include these when planning your first shop for the voyage.

Cloths and washing up liquid

Please allow for your own cleaning and washing up supplies.

Tea towels

Please bring your own tea towels for the galley.

Toilet paper

Toilet paper is not part of the standard onboard equipment.

Salt and pepper

Please bring basic seasonings such as salt and pepper with you or buy them locally.

What is included in the basic package on the Mallorca yachts?

How is the galley equipped?

The galley is equipped with a two or three burner gas cooker, oven, electric cool box or refrigerator, pressurised water system and sink. Crockery, cutlery, coffee filter, pots, pans, kettle, vacuum flasks and other household essentials are on board. Two gas bottles are included in the basic package.

What should I bring with me for the voyage?

Cloths, tea towels, toilet paper, washing up liquid, and salt and pepper are not routinely provided on board for hygiene reasons. You should bring these items with you or purchase them before departure.
