Return and Refuelling
Please allow पर्याप्त time for your return to Rogoznica. Before the final handover of the yacht, refuelling is still required. The fuel station is located in the harbour area or at the far end of the harbour and can be visited before mooring at the charter base.
Allow extra time for the final nautical miles
Do not leave your approach to Rogoznica Bay until the very last moment before the scheduled return time. Your passage planning should include a sufficient time reserve for the final nautical miles, the call at the fuel station, any waiting time for refuelling, and the subsequent manoeuvre back to the marina. This helps ensure that the end of your charter remains relaxed and free from unnecessary time pressure.
Relaxation and Surroundings
In addition to yacht charter itself, Marina Frapa offers several ways to make good use of an early arrival day or extra time after your return. The beach, pool, dining options, and Rogoznica itself are all located directly at or around the base.
Pebble beach right by the charter base
Less than 200 metres from the charter pontoon, there is a pebble beach for marina guests. After a longer journey by car or plane, this allows you to head straight to the water within the marina area without first having to travel on to another location or beach. The beach is also ideal for a short break and a refreshing swim before the yacht handover.
Pool and leisure facilities at Marina Frapa
In addition to its berths, Marina Frapa offers a range of leisure facilities. These include a pool, fitness options, a boules court, restaurants, bars or a pool bar, as well as a nightclub. This gives crews arriving early or spending extra time in Rogoznica after their cruise several options directly within the marina grounds.
Discover Rogoznica before or after your cruise
The town of Rogoznica is also well worth visiting for a first or final evening ashore. This Dalmatian coastal town has a historic centre, inviting restaurants, and a relaxed atmosphere by the water. From the marina, a visit can easily be combined with your stay before departure or after your return.
Between Split, Šibenik, and the island world
Rogoznica is located on the central Dalmatian coast between Split and Šibenik. For cruise planning, this position opens up several possible directions. To the north lie destinations such as Primošten, Šibenik, the Krka National Park area, and the Kornati Islands. To the south, possible routes lead towards Trogir, Split, and onwards into the islands off Split and central Dalmatia.
This means that on a sailing holiday from Rogoznica, you do not have to commit to only one cruising direction from the outset. The length of your charter, your preferred daily passages, and the actual weather conditions can all determine whether your focus lies further north, further south, or on a combination of both.
Sheltered location in Soline Bay
Marina Frapa is situated in the sheltered waters of Soline Bay. This protected geographical setting makes arrival, departure, and return more comfortable, although it does not replace an up to date weather assessment for your onward cruise planning.
The cruising area is suitable both for short passages with family or a holiday crew and for considerably longer routes. Those who prefer a more relaxed style of sailing will find destinations within manageable distances. More ambitious crews can use Rogoznica as the starting point for much larger voyages through Croatia’s island world.
Cruising Directions from Biograd
Kornati Islands and Dugi Otok
From Biograd, the Kornati Islands are practically on your doorstep. For a one week cruise, the islands and bays of the Kornati archipelago can be combined with the Telašćica Nature Park on Dugi Otok. Žut offers sheltered bays and traditional konobas, while within Kornati National Park, destinations such as Piškera and Levrnaka are well worth considering. In Telašćica, crews will find a deeply indented and well protected bay. Ashore, paths lead to Lake Mir and to the cliffs on the outer side of Dugi Otok.
Towards Šibenik and Krka
Another cruising route leads south into the Šibenik archipelago. Islands such as Zlarin, Prvić, and Žirje combine small harbours and sheltered bays with opportunities for swimming and peaceful evenings ashore. From the coast near Šibenik, the route continues on to Skradin. This allows a sailing holiday to be combined with a visit to Krka National Park. For crews wishing to combine time in harbour with natural highlights, this direction offers a particularly varied choice.
With more time to Trogir, Hvar, and Vis
On a longer cruise, your range can be expanded considerably. South of Biograd, destinations such as Trogir, Stari Grad on Hvar, as well as Vis and Komiža, become realistic options. This also changes the character of the voyage. In addition to islands and swimming bays, you will encounter historic coastal towns, longer sailing legs, and greater distances between the individual regions. On the return passage, destinations such as Primošten, Skradin, the Kornati Islands, and Dugi Otok can be woven back into the route.
Short stages or a wider cruising range
The island world around Biograd lends itself to very different cruising concepts. Those who prefer shorter stages can focus on the Kornati Islands, Dugi Otok, and the islands of the Šibenik archipelago. With two weeks of charter time, destinations further south also become comfortably achievable. Harbours and marinas can be combined with anchorages, swimming stops, waterfront restaurants, and time ashore. Your final route should always be adapted to the weather, sea conditions, and the experience of the crew.
